AMICO BUILDING PRODUCTS

Alabama Metal Industries Corporation is a widely diversified company established in Birmingham, Alabama in 1939. After doing its part in the war effort, AMICO started the production of metal lath, later to be followed by expanded metal, welded bar grating, vinyl beads, plank grating, access flooring systems, fiberglass gratings and perforated metals.

FOUNDATION WEEP SCREED (NO. 7)

This bead is now required by most building codes and by ASTM C1063 on all framed walls as part of a drainage system for exterior stucco applications. The 3½ inch nailing flange serves as a flashing when water resistant breathable building paper or paper backed lath is installed over the flange. The "V" stop is punched with holes primarily intended as keying mechanisms. These also offer minor moisture weeping capabilities. As stucco cures it will shrink slightly away from the "V" stop allowing moisture to flow down the building paper and exit down the sloped surface. Available in galvanized steel and zinc alloy (by special request) in 10 ft. lengths.

AMICO Vinyl Corner Bead reinforces exterior stucco corners with durable, straight, and rust free vinyl corners.

The addition of stiffener ribs and slotted nailing holes makes these products easy and quick to install level and straight.

AMICO Regular Leg and Irregular Leg Corner Beads are shipped with a supply of patented connector clips, designed to easily facilitate the installation of continuous lengths of corner beads.

DIAMOND MESH LATH
is manufactured by slitting and stretching galvanized steel to
form small opening to allow the keying of plaster so it will
bond to the lath. Each sheet has square ends and smooth
parallel edges for fast, easy handling and installation. Diamond
Mesh Lath can be bent easily to create curved surfaces.

X-1 and X-2 Corner Beads for outside corners have a smooth round nose bead with Diamond Mesh wings for the keying of plaster right up to the nose of the bead.

This mesh insures a perfect bond and provides effective reinforcement where most needed. Especially recommended in fireproofing columns and beams. Rigid straight edge nose is easy to install and permits plumb straight outside corners. Excellent protection for corridor corners exposed to traffic.
